While I love photographing people, I have a special fondness for shooting spaces, capturing the interplay between light and architecture. I've been known to stop what I'm doing, pull out my phone or camera and snap a photo, saying: "Look at that cool light!" When my family returned from a trip to Spain, one of the first things they told me is how much I would have loved the light in the cathedrals and other historic sites they visited.
Many of the photos I have archived on my computer are simply collections of light in the places I've traveled: a beam of sunlight on a table, the soft glow through curtains, the sparkle of a reflection off a mirror... I am endlessly fascinated by the endless changes in light and how our work as humans interacts with light that is both natural and artificial.
